Northwest Counselling team members pride ourselves on our ability to provide a confidential and safe environment. We recognize that people really need to feel heard and be able to trust in order to practice healing. We are told our open and gentle nature helps people to feel comfortable and are honoured to offer a truly nurturing experience.
As a private practice, we offer comprehensive mental health services including;
- Individual, Couples and Family Counselling
- Critical Incident Stress Management
- Mental Health Consultation and Training
Counselling Rates & Funding
Rates - Counselling
Our private practice rate is guided by the BC Association of Clinical Counsellors.
- Individual - $135 + GST for a 50-minute session
- Couples or Family Group - $155 + GST for a 50-minute session
Payment
We accept credit card and E-Transfer payments.
For ease of booking, payment is accepted over the phone or online at time of scheduling your counselling session.
We have a 24-hour late cancellation policy which requires payment for cancelled sessions less than 24 hours in advance of the scheduled time. If you are unable to keep your scheduled session, please contact our confidential receptionist directly at 250.638.8311 or reception@nwcounselling.ca
Most employee group healthcare benefits provide coverage for clinical counselling. Please check with your group healthcare provider for reimbursement options.
Funding
There are many options available to people wanting to access counselling that may benefit from some funding support. We have a long-standing stellar reputation in providing services to local First Nation band members, post-secondary students and Ministry support programs.
If you are connected with one of these affiliates, you are eligible for funded counselling support and can contact our office directly to arrange your confidential counselling session.

If you have status as First Nation, you are eligible for funding options with our therapists who provide services with First Nation Health Authority.
