Counsellors
Allison Forget MA, RCC
Certified Level 1 AEDP Therapist
Allison is a Registered Clinical Counsellor with the British Columbia Association of Clinical Counsellors and holds a Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology degree. As a certified Level 1 AEDP Therapist, Allison specializes in the healing of trauma and attachment wounds in the transformative experience of a safe, therapeutic connection. She brings a wealth of experience in 20 years of working in the field of trauma therapy and believes in the capacity for people to become empowered within a collaborative relationship.
Asta Capar M.Ed., CCC
Clinical Counsellor
Asta is a Canadian Certified Counsellor with the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association, with a Master of Education degree in Counselling Psychology. Her approach to counselling largely centers around the belief that all people have strengths and have the capacity to overcome challenges in their lives.
Asta has experience supporting individuals with depression, anxiety, trauma, grief, addictions, self-esteem concerns, body image concerns, self-injury behaviours, attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), and autism spectrum disorder (ASD). She also has experience supporting parents with parenting strategies, in addition to working with couples and families experiencing conflict or domestic violence.
Asta currently provides individual counselling to children, youth, and adults, as well as couples or family counselling.
The therapeutic frameworks Asta works from includes cognitive behaviour therapy, dialectical behaviour therapy, solution-focused therapy, as well as drawing from practices rooted in brain research. She also highlights the importance of positive connections and the therapeutic relationship as a significant source of resilience, healing, and positive change.
Tyson Spreadbury MC, RCC
Clinical Counsellor
Tyson is a Registered Clinical Counsellor with BCACC, with a Master of Counselling degree from City University of Seattle. Tyson enjoys connecting with clients and helping them to achieve their goals. He enjoys working with a diverse population of clients including teenagers and adults with a wide variety of experiences such as: anxiety, depression, eating disorders, career navigation, and sport/performance counseling. He is also able to assist people dealing with addictions, grief, other mental health concerns
Tyson believes that building a trusting, collaborative, and mutually respectful relationship with my clients. In doing so, he creates an environment where clients feel comfortable and safe. Tyson utilizes different therapeutic approaches including Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution Focused Therapy, Mindfulness, and Narrative Therapy.
Annette Rolleman MTA, BMT, BMus
Counselling Student
Annette is a practicum student with Athabasca University attending the Masters in Counselling Psychology program. Annette is also a certified music therapist, with a Bachelor of Music Therapy from Capilano University.
Annette believes that building a safe therapeutic relationship through collaboration and respect is foundational for therapy. Annette also believes in a holistic perspective; recognizing that each person’s identity is influenced by many different parts; such as ethnicity, family, gender, gender identity, and spirituality to name a few. Each part influences who we are and how we interact with the world around us.
Through highlighting strengths, developing new skills, and clarifying values, Annette works with clients to develop the goals they would like to address in therapy. Annette is informed by multicultural counselling, systems theory, and attachment theory. Annette has also utilized Behavior Therapy (BT), Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT).
Annette has experience working with children ages ti-18 addressing grief, anxiety, emotional regulation, children who have autism spectrum disorder and developmental differences; as well as providing support to parents/guardians. Annette has also supported adults experiencing anxiety, grief, and domestic violence.
